Paul Rodwell, the British Consul, has asked the CRA to form a focus group to meet with representatives of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Thursday 19th January at 10.45 in the Cultural Centre.

The focus group should consist of individuals who have used the consulate services at Alicante.
The purpose of the group will be to report on experiences of individuals when using the consulate services, offering constructive criticism of where improvements can be made. It should also include satisfaction reports where the user feels they have received good service. Suggestions for additional services will also be welcome.

Paul Rodwell is also seeking additional funding to open a consulate office in Cartagena, an area he has identified as being fairly central to the thousands of Murcian ex pat residents. If approved it will remove the need to go to Alicante. Support for this from the focus group will help him in getting the approval and funding.

Sector Names

The Mayor has informed us that it is possible to rename the ‘Sectors’ and would be best carried out on handover of each sector to the council.

He has asked that the CRA start collating suggestions and consulting residents on their choice of names.

Our Sector Community Groups need representatives for the poligono´s listed below.

As you may be aware, the Council through its bi monthly open meetings with residents welcome new ideas and suggestions for improvements on Camposol.

While any resident is welcome to put forward ideas and suggestions it is only the organised groups that have a vote on proposals made.

Make sure your voice and those of your neighbours is heard and your right to have an input to influence the vote through your local group is exercised.

Your local Community Group is working on your behalf but needs input from all poligonos to influence the direction the group takes. This is your chance to be involved and help to develop the tremendous community spirit these groups achieve.

We have at last a council that wants to interact with the residents, let’s work with them to achieve the best we can for ourselves.
